Protect engine components, shafts, and couplers with Corrosion Inhibitor's amber color, dry lubricant film for longer life.
Long term protection. Seals out moisture completely. Applies wet, dries to a film as solvents evaporate.
New couplers have a zinc plating applied to the cast and machined ductile iron part. Typical zinc plating survives around 96 hours in a controlled salt water spray test. But that's not a long time when we'd like a coupler to last ten or fifteen years. Some customers report success using this product to extend the life of the coupler.
The ultimate solution is to replace your traditional stuffing box with a Sure Seal or a Dripless Shaft Seal. Either will eliminate salt water spray onto the coupler and allow for a dry bilge as a bonus
10 oz. spray can.
1) Since this is classified as a hazardous material, it can only be shipped via UPS ground to the continental US. It cannot be shipped to foreign addresses, Hawaii, nor Alaska.
2) The product will change color over time, so only apply where appearance isn't important. Use a box or similar cut in half below the prop and coupler to protect areas from over spray.
