This engine panel tray is for cockpit mounted engine instruments when the tray mounts on a flat surface.
According to the factory, this tray was originally designed for the Catalina 27, Catalina 30, and Catalina 36. But they may be used in any application where it can be mounted on a flat surface. They are often used when upgrading a boat whose engine panel was mounted where it is difficult to see at foot level. A new tray will accommodate raising the engine panel up to the seat back level in the cockpit providing much better view of the instruments and warning lightsand better access to the controls.
If your boat is newer and needs a tray molded with a slight angle to fit the newer back rest design of the coamings, see the additional items below.
The tooling used to produce these parts is over 25 years old now. The parts they produce are no longer as pristine as when the molds were used in the production of new boats. Luckily the flaws and imperfections in the finished product are cosmetic in nature and don't effect the integrity of the product.
