This bracket provides a clean installation method for upgrading hull mounted or deck mounted navigation lights. It moves the light up onto the pulpit where it is always visible. Drill a hole in the pulpit and you can lead the wiring inside of the tube to protect it from the weather and damage. Mounting your navigation lights on the pulpit raises them for better visibility to other boaters as well as getting them clear of obstructions on deck which could block their field of view, thus improving your safety.
When pulpit mounted navigation lights became standard on Catalinas in the mid eighties, a bracket was welded onto the pulpit to support the light. Some owners report a damaged or missing bracket. This bracket is a suitable replacement that doesn't require welding.
Our new in-house designed bracket is made from stainless steel and is adjustable to allow mounting on 1" tubing at various angles for mounting on either bow or stern pulpits. It will support both Aqua Signal (series 25) and Hella brand fixtures and is easy to install (instructions included).
To facilitate both bow and stern pulpit installations, there are three different mounting methods to choose from:
• Slightly recessed, pointing straight ahead
• Slightly recessed, slightly angled for off-center mounting
• Deeply recessed, with significant off-angle mounting capability
Navigation light is shown for reference only and is not included with the purchase of the bracket.
