40" Destroyer Wheel that is dished to move the wheel grip aft, away from the connection to the shaft. Designed for earlier pedestals, pre 1999, which have straight shafts as opposed to the tapered shafts used on later boats.
This style wheel is required if you are upgrading to the later style engine instrument pods that angle the instruments up, towards the helmsman for better visibility. The newer style pod is about 1" thicker than the original trapezoidal engine pod and the dished wheels provide the extra clearance needed.
Catalinas originally equipped with 40" wheels with straight shafts:
• Catalina 320
• Catalina 34
• Catalina 36
• Catalina 380
• Catalina 390
• Catalina 42s in the early 90's
There may have been other models that used a 40" wheel. Be sure to verify your wheel diameter (OD: 3-1/2", ID: 1" and Depth: about 2-3/8") and that the shaft is straight before ordering. If you require a different diameter wheel, call our tech support line, see "Tech Support" link below at the bottom of each page.

If you then decide you want caramel, the chocolate is still going to come out of the pipe. We can't put the Chocolate back in the pipe, so someone is going to have to eat it, and it's not going to be us! Your order can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into caramel, so please order carefully the first time!
