Have your cushions seen better days? Does your body ache just thinking about another night aboard your boat? Replace your cushions with new 4" foam and modern fabric or a 6-1/2" innerspring mattress for a more comfortable nights sleep and an updated look.

Port aft berth interior cushions with foam or innerspring mattress for the Catalina 42, 3 cabin with the pullman or centerline interior. Made from the original patterns used to make the cushions when the boat left the factory.

Please call and we can discuss the cushions as well as get you sample fabric swatches. In some instances we will request the old cushion covers be sent in so that we can match the snap locations.

Due to the shape of this berth that includes a cut-out for access to storage and electrical switched, this is a very complicated set of cushions.

When an innerspring mattress is chosen, the set includes:
• A 6-1/2" innerspring mattress topped with white quilted fabric.
• An accessory filler foam cushion that is attached to the mattress with a fabric "hinge". This allows access to the switches etc by hinging up the filler cushion, yet the hinge prevents it from falling out in the middle of the night.
• Two additional accessory cushions to port and starboard of the filler cushion. Each accessory cushion includes a wooden panel attached to the bottom of the cushion. This panel fits into the storage area under each berth cushion. Each of these two cushions acts as the lid for their respective compartment. The wooden panel also serves to position the cushion and prevents it from falling out while underway if the center cushion is temporarily folded back.
• Mattress is topped with white quilted fabric.

When foam cushions are ordered, all cushions are of the same design, but 4" upholstered foam is used throughout. Choose your fabric and color from those at left.

Foam density is important factor to consider. Legacy Catalina's interior cushions were fabricated with with 1.4 lbs/cu. ft foam. We choose 2.0 lbs/cu. ft. for longer life and yet maintains a measure of comfort. Any less and the cushion will loose bounce back too quickly, any more and the cushions become uncomfortable.

2) A 50% nonrefundable deposit will be billed when your order for this special order item is accepted. The balance will be billed when the product ships.

3) This is a custom made part. You provide the information we need to build this product for you. Once you order it we are going to build it just for you, just as you asked. We never want to see it again, and no one else wants it either. So be careful and order it correctly the first time because it can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into something different!
