This kit is for spreaders for the earlier Catalina 42 with an NG-80 mast. This mast is distinguished by the presence of a spinnaker track that is extruded into the forward face of the mast. These caps fit spreaders which were attached to a welded on spreader base with only one clevis pin. If your spreader has two clevis pins securing it to a stainless steel spreader bar, see part Z3472 in "May we also suggest" below.
