This is the red wine version of the wine glasses we first encountered while sailing in the Pacific Northwest aboard a Catalina 425. When we invited guests aboard, they were smart enough to bring their their own wine glasses! I was very impressed with the quality and beautiful design of their stainless steel glasses. Then, with wine glasses finally empty, they blew us away when they unscrewed the bowl from the stem, flipped the bowl upside down and snapped it onto subtle flanges on top of the foot!
I was so impressed that when we returned from our charter, I just had to locate the manufacturer so we could offer them to our customers! The generous bowl size of the red wine glass provides plenty of space to get a vigorous swirl, aerate the wine, and release its complex scents.
They are beautifully crafted, light weight and easy to stow. When snapped in their storage configuration, they are very compact and have a low center of gravity so they don’t capsize in your cabinets as soon as the boat heals.
