1) The original Catalina 42 hinge was our part number T2046, pictured below under "May we also suggest. The part pictured above is much less expensive but equally serviceable. Unfortunately, when used to replace the original Catalina 42 part, the hole pattern is reversed. To use these hinges on the 42 you will need to drill new holes.

2) When used on the 5 series Catalina they should be a direct replacement, but always measure and compare to the dimensions listed above to be sure.
