Slight scratches to the interior frame near the corners.
This 17" X 17" (nominal size), matte finish, low profile hatch is used on a variety of boats in various locations to provide extra ventilation.
These low profile hatches were used on production boats built after around March of 2000. These can be used as replacements for Coastline hatches of similar size. These hatches are an improvement in that the lenses can be more easily replaced.
Lewmar produced this hatch in three different finishes over the years:
• Anodized aluminum matte finish
• A "shiny" finish that looked similar to stainless steel was used by Catalina from February of 2004 through October of 2006. This finish was discontinued by Lewmar in 2006 and is no longer available as a replacement part.
• A "bright" finish which was polished but not as shiny as the previous version was used by Catalina beginning in November of 2006 and was discontinued in 2008 in favor of the original matte finish. This part is available but only on a special order basis from the United Kingdom.
Known Usage:
• (1) each: Catalina 350 (in the cockpit)
• (2) each: Catalina 320, Catalina 34 MkII, Catalina 36 MkII
• (4) each: some Catalina 400
• (3) each: Catalina 42 MkII 2 Cabin models
• (4) each: Catalina 42 MkII 3 Cabin models
• (1) each: Catalina 445
• (2) each: Catalina 470
There may be other instances where this hatch is used. It is also possible that not every boat described above used this hatch. Please use the dimensions above and the photos below to verify which hatch is actually installed on your boat.
• Outside of lid: 512mm x 512mm (about 20-3/16" x 20-3/16")
• Cutout: 442mm x 442mm (about 17-3/8" x 17-3/8")
• Height off of deck: 25mm (about 1")
• Radius of Cutout: 42.5mm (about 1-11/16")
• Lens thickness: 8mm (about 5/16")
