Earlier boats used plumbing fittings that were difficult to interface with the 3/4" hose that drains the water overboard. Forespar began producing this sink drain assembly in the mid '80's. All of the components were designed to work together to interface with the hose. It eliminated incompatible fittings sourced from various suppliers, made the boat easier for the factory to assemble and more trouble free for the owner.
