Three blade props provide better performance under power especially when the going gets rough. They also help to stop the boat much faster when entering a slip under windy conditions or challenging circumstances. The trade off is slightly reduced performance under sail. Expect to lose about 1/4 to 1/2 knot.

• Catalina 34 and Catalina 36 with Yanmar 3GM-30F engine and a 2.61:1 transmission ratio
• Catalina 34 and Catalina 36 with Yanmar 3HM-35F engine and a 2.14:1 transmission ratio
• Catalina 34 and Catalina 36 with Yanmar 3JH2E engine and a 2.14:1 transmission ratio
• Catalina 38 (early Sparkman & Stephens) with Universal 5424 and a 2:1 transmission ratio

3) Since only one company offers a "Sailor Prop" design, they tend to be substantially more expensive as there is no competition in the marketplace.

4) This is a custom made part. You provide the information we need to build this product for you. Once you order it we are going to build it just for you, just as you asked. We never want to see it again, and no one else wants it either. So be careful and order it correctly the first time because it can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into something different!
