The u-bolt on the bow of our 1987 Catalina (for anchoring, mooring, etc.) is very loose- it looks like it will fall off soon. We would like to tighten it, which clearly needs to be done from the inside. How does one get at the place where this is attached? |

Thanks for this, but I am not sure it is a question of a part, but rather of getting at the part to begin with. |

Which model boat do you have? Pre anchor locker or post. If you have a locker, you need to open an inspection port to get at the eye bolts. If you don't have one, you just need to remove the small panel at the forward point of the V-birth. There are a number of previous discussions. One recent one is under the "MAINTENANCE" heading. Its near the bottom and is labeled something like Bow Eye Block Replacement. There have been a number of other posts previously. One or two more under "MAINTENANCE" and a few scattered throughout. |
