I am in the process of parting out a hull that is too damaged to cost effectively repair and the wife wants the thing out of the yard this spring. I would like to know how some of you who did the same disposed of the stripped hull after you were done and I'm looking for some cost effective ways to do it.

I cut it up with a chain saw and put it in the trash. No charge. I learned how to sharpen chain saw blades.

If you are feeling especially creative or charitable, you could take all of the identifying indicia off of it, haul it down to Skid row; park it on a vacant lot, and then wait for someone to either steal it, tow it, or use it as a homeless shelter.

Just trying to think out of the box

If you do cut it up, might I suggest taking a bunch of pics of various cross section views. Include a tape measure wherever it would be useful to show thicknesses.

Before you start destroying it, you might look at some organizations that might want it for education, tech schools for instance. It could get you a tax deduction as a donation. Or if you advertise it on sailboatowners.com, maybe you will find some handyman that would use the hull to make a new boat.

Just a thought and an alternative to adding to the landfill.
