Good afternoon everyone,

Well i just recently came in possension of a 1971 Catalina 22. The title i have has a serial number of MSZ008846090. to me that number makes no sense. Right now im having issues getting the boat home because of the condition of the trailer so im just trying to get info while i wait on getting the boat. lol any info would be great thanks

The number you gave is definitely NOT the hull number. Hull Identification Numbers (HIN for short) didn't exist until a few years later. A valid HIN for your boat would be in the format CTYxyyyyzzzz where x is the model/series, yyyy is the 4 digit hull number, and zzzz is the date code of when the boat was manufactured. I'm curious, where did you get that number?
