Hi All - I'm looking to install a speed and depth gauge on my Catalina 22. I'm looking at the Raymarine i40 on West Marine, but one reviewer said the transducer is only good for a hull thickness up to 3/4". Does anyone know what the hull thickness is for the Catalina 22 or has anyone successfully installed this particular bidata instrument on their boat?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Andrea.
I have a C-27, and I installed an in-hull transducer (made by Airmar, for a Garmin depth sounder) and have had no trouble with it at all. I suspect the Raymarine transducer would work quite well too. Happy sailing!
