Have you though about adding a free text search against the Clubhouse database. With about only 3 fields you can make the info much more accessable. (Text, date range) This would result in a query or look up lising of the posts, topic or category, posted by and date.
Being a clubhouse can you make member directory. From within your profile have a check box that allows your data to be seen in the directory? I had someone say they would look for me at the lake but all I have is their name.

I have Google configured to search my computer, which may or may not be necessary picking up old threads. However, it seems to work. I enter my search string using the "search the web" option on the Google search bar. Google tells me how many suchlike things I have already stored on my own computer. Strangely, if I do it in the "search your computer mode" it frequently misses stuff. Perhaps that's because I usually use it to retreive when the Catalina Direct Clubhouse is "open". Nevertheless, it works.
Plus, it finds other good stuff I have saved and forgotten about of a similar ilk. Because I type the search string as search the web option, it also turns up the other gazillion posts lurking out there in webland; not to mention posting all the key word ads one gets whenever doing a
Google.
Although I haven't, one could create an "index" for every relevent topic. And, at some point in time, everything becomes relevent!

How about us creating a WHOLE NEW FORUM on a better format. I think that Delphi Forums presents the best option.
Posts and be edited as well deleted by the author. Pictures can be posted as well as links. It's much more "open". |
