Somewhere I read about restoring old and kinked lines, cannot find thr source. Does anyone out there have any information on restoring old lines?

It depends on whot kind of lines you are talking about. If you are talking about anchor rode, I have had great success trailing the rode behind the boat for a goodly amount of time. Then put it in a tub of water with fabric softener in it.

This takes out the kinks and makes the rode much easier on the hands.
