I just received the CD Stem Fitting with Anchor Roller (#E1280) for my Catalina 25. Above the roller, there is one pin that slides in and out and locks. I presume this is for holding the anchor in place while it is stowed. But there is another, (thicker) pin that also slides in/out and lock in. Is this for attaching the head sail instead of using a shackle? If so, should i be concerned about that pin sliding out while under sail? Thanks.

I have made a pin from a ss eye bolt with a hole drilled in the end for a
ring. The eye end is tied with a rope lanyard to the anchor guide. It is much easier to pin and remove than putting my fingers under the furler to pin the forestay. I had to drill a 5/16 hole in the starboard side of the anchor roller so
the eyebolt goes all the way through then pinned.
