The old style kick up rudder was 11/16" thick with a raised area for the pivot. This raised area around the pivot created a thicker section, but this new blade is thicker all around and doesnt require the raised area around the pivot point. With the thicker blade, your original hardware can be reused.

3) This is not the original factory rudder blade. It is not the exact shape as the original but is designed to fit into the original equipment rudder head cheeks. Does not include hole for rudder detent rivet, which will need to be drilled. If unable to transfer over your original detent, order detent in may we also suggest below.

4) When you order this special order item it sets off a chain of events like Willie Wonka in the chocolate factory. Once you turn the valve the chocolate is coming down the pipe. If you then decide you want caramel, the chocolate is still going to come out of the pipe. We can't put the Chocolate back in the pipe, so someone is going to have to eat it, and it's not going to be us! Your order can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into caramel, so please order carefully the first time!
