Terms and Conditions of Sale

Order Processing - Orders for in stock items typically ship the next business day. Orders are shipped first-in / first-out with the only exception being priority fulfillment described below.

Shippiing - If you pay for air shipment you get priority fulfillment at no added cost. With the exception of UPS Next Day Air shipments, all carriers have suspended service guarantees. Any shipment may take longer than expected. No refunds are available for either ground or expedited shipments that depart or arrive later than expected.

Pricing - Although we do our best to provide accurate pricing on the more than 11,000 parts we track, prices and specifications may change without notice. If a price goes up we will call for your approval before your order ships.

Billing - Nothing is billed to your card when you order is placed, only as it ships.

Exceptions: Deposits for special orders and custom made parts - Deposits for special orders are billed after you approve details and terms of the order by phone or email. However, many custom made parts are produced infrequently. As a result, they are also re-priced infrequently. If a price has changed, including after receipt of your order and deposit, we will call for your continued approval before proceeding. If the increase is more than you had hoped, we will gladly refund your deposit. Once you approve a new price, your deposit is no longer refundable for any reason.

Inspect your parts immediately - Damaged, missing, or incorrect parts must be reported within 10 days to be corrected. No adjustments will be made without timely reporting.

We Are Not Catalina Yachts - Catalina Direct is not a part of Catalina Yachts. We are a separate company specializing in parts for Catalinas since 1974. Most of these parts are not manufactured or warranted by Catalina Yachts. All questions about suitability, installation or warranty of parts purchased from Catalina Direct should be directed to Catalina Direct at 800/ 959-7245. Do not contact Catalina Yachts.

Suitability for your boat – Catalinas are hand built. Numerous unrecorded changes were made over the years. Prior owners may have made changes. Your boat is likely unique. Our store of Catalina knowledge cannot assure that we know all about your particular boat. You are solely responsible for judging the suitability of parts for your boat.

Warrantees - Our vendors warrantee their products. We will assist you with warrantee claims. 

Canadian Brokerage Fees - We have negotiated reduced UPS brokerage fees for our Canadian customers. For procedures and a complete table of fees, click here.

Returns - We accept returns of unused, undamaged, complete parts within 30 days of shipment. The returned parts must be in their original factory packaging including any special protection that was provided to protect the parts while in transit. We will refund your original purchase (less outbound shipping costs) only for those items which arrive in their original condition, so pack them carefully! The refund is only via your original payment method.

You must call for a Return Merchandise Authorization number before shipping anything back to us. Packages received without an RMA number will be refused. We will not pay the cost of return shipments.

Some Items Can Not Be Returned  /  Some Orders Can Not Be Canceled

Many of our products are custom made just for you alone. These items include:

• Products cut to length eg: Line, Wire, Lifelines, Rubrail, Gasket material, Etc.
• Any item for which you specified eg: Covers, Upholstery, Colored Sails, Etc.
• Any rigging made to your measurements or to match your existing rigging.
• Any non-stock parts that are made directly in response to your order (Engine electrical panels, rudders, and engine exhaust risers for example).

Additionally, parts intended for use on boats not built by Catalina Yachts are non-returnable. Owners of other boat brands may purchase the parts that we offer to Catalina owners, but it is their sole responsibility to determine suitability for their boat before they place an order.

In the above cases all sales are final and returns will not be accepted.
