Quick Release Pin CP-22, C-25, C-250, C-22 w/QR Lever

Part #: E1824
$13.80
This 5/16" diameter quick release pin replaces the clevis pin at the bottom of your Catalina 25 standing rigging turnbuckle or the same pin on a quick release lever. Use on any shroud or stay.

To speed rigging of your trailed Catalina 25 you will typically use three, one on the forestay and one on each of your two forward lower shrouds. Since the Catalina 250 is rigged with single lower shrouds and the chainplates are aft of the mast, you will only need one quick release pin for the forestay.
This pin may also be used on a Catalina 22 but only if equipped with the quick release levers for the forestay or forward lower shrouds. Its 5/16" diameter is a perfect fit for the quick release levers but too big to fit in place of the 1/4" clevis pin at the bottom of a standard Catalina 22 turnbuckle. The stem fitting and chainplate eyebolts for the lower shrouds of the Catalina 22 are already drilled to accept this 5/16" diameter pin.

Capri 22 tip: When trailing a Capri 22, I use one on the 5/16" forestay turnbuckle. Since the Capri 22 is a fractional rig, the lower shrouds need not be removed to lower the mast. For ease of trailing however I use two of the toggle type quick release pins with lanyards (see suggestions below) at the bottom end of the 1/4" turnbuckles. When the mast is down, just pop the quick pins and remove the top end of the lowers from the mast at the T-ball socket. Do the same with the forestay. Coil them up together and drop them in the cabin and you avoid having to secure them for transport. It's a real time saver!
