We start with corrosion resistant type 316 stainless steel wire. Roll swaged fittings are used both top and bottom. A new open design turnbuckle body can be securely pinned to prevent the turnbuckle from unscrewing.

We roll swage a stud onto the lower end of the wire. The body screws directly onto the stud eliminating the top turnbuckle toggle. There are fewer parts that can fail and fewer parts to snag sails and sheets. We replace your old turnbuckle toggle with a forged T-bolt design which cannot accidentally unscrew from the bottom slug like earlier designs. Turnbuckle clevis pins and new cotter pins are provided.

1) We have used the available information from rigging check lists to be able to provide rigging that is on the shelf and ready to ship right away. There were some variations in lengths over time noted on the rigging check lists and there may be others that have been introduced while your boat has been in the field. An extra set of extended turnbuckle toggles are included to provide an extra inch of length if needed.

2) We have found that by including the extended turnbuckle toggles, this set of rigging will work for most boats in the field. If you receive and find your boat requires different lengths, this kit is returnable and we can switch to our, on the shelf, ready to ship, Trim-2 Fit version if timing is critical or you can send in your old, marked as tuned, rigging for duplication.
