These longer (3") bolts are only suitable for use with the 2" thick Blue Water Rudder and accommodates either the 2" wide tiller plus tiller straps or a standard 1-1/2" wide standard tiller plus shims and tiller straps. Includes both a wing nut as well as a nylock nut for you to choose how to secure the tiller pivot bolt to the rudder.

To prevent galling, lubricate all stainless steel threads with a thread lubricant like the one we offer below under "May we also suggest".
