This Boomkicker will work on Capri 22's built before January 2012. Later boats, hulls 1259 and up, that use the Seldén spar require a different Boomkicker version.

Our custom Capri 22 version includes features to make it compatible with your Catalina Capri 22 race package (the boom that includes the tab extruded along the bottom of the boom):
• Special roll stop hardware to prevent rotation of the boom (see the photo below).
• Custom machined plastic spacers will accommodate the unique shaped "tab" extruded along the bottom of your boom. The spacers fit on either side of the tab and provide a stable base for the Boomkicker bracket.
• A fastpin at the bottom of the Boomkicker makes for quick removal for trailering.

1) Due to its size, a shipping charge of $12.95 for the boomkicker will be added to your invoice. This charge does not cover shipping for other items which may be on the same order which will be billed based on the standard shipping rate table.

2) During the history of the Capri 22 there have been three different booms used: a) The standard oval boom (the same boom extrusion as was used on the Catalina 22). b) The upgraded "race package" boom with internal outhaul and reef lines and a tab extruded at the bottom of the boom to add additional strength. This boom was used by Catalina Yachts when the optional race package was ordered by the original buyer. At a later date (we believe in 1989) the race package boom became standard equipment and was included with all Capri 22's. c) Beginning with hull #1259 in 2012, Catalina Yachts began equipping the Capri 22 with spar supplied by Seldén Spars.
