Each set includes one sail slide and one shackle. The slide is 1" high X 3/8" diameter. The slide's loose fit in the mast track ensures the slide doesn't stick or jam. To install, the shackle is inserted in the bail of the slide, then snapped into the grommet in the luff of the main.

1) Some early sails had very small grommets in the luff which are too small for the diameter of the plastic shackle's 5/16" pin. There is 9/16" of space for the sail forward of the edge of the plastic pin.

2) Both of our sail slide sets require grommets in the luff of the sail. Some cheap shackles simply screw directly through the sail's fabric, this is not a recommended method.

3) In 2012 Catalina started supplying the Capri 14.2 with Seldén masts and standing rigging. Current production Capri 14.2 (hulls 5449 and up) are now equipped with Seldén rigs. These boats require different sail slides. If your boat has a Seldén rig, call our Technical Support at 916/843-1971.
