Kit includes track, car, stainless steel risers, control blocks with a 5:1 purchase and cleats. The risers mount on top of the original wood mounting blocks. As you can see in the additional picture below, the risers are slotted for fasteners both at deck level and track level. The slots typically allow the use of your existing mounting holes and avoid the need to drill new holes in your deck. For your reference, the risers are 5-7/16" high from deck to mounting surface if the the two surfaces are held parallel. Hundreds of these retrofit travelers have been installed using the existing holes.
However it is always a possibility that an unrecorded change at the factory might make this untrue for your boat.
For the best end result and better visibility forward, we prefer the deck mounted stanchions provided in the kit pictured below. Click on the picture shown under "May we also suggest" for more information.
Recirculating ball bearings support the load on the traveler car without binding. Control lines and cleats provide mechanical advantage to bring the car to weather. Even under high mainsheet loads, one can trim the traveler car with ease.
Traveler car bearings:
• Hi load Torlon bearings (take the load from the mainsheet): 240
• Delrin bearings (support an unloaded car during a jibe): 240

2) Mounting screws for the risers will be 1/4" round head. We are unable to provide fasteners for the risers or the halyard lift turning blocks as the thickness of the fiberglass can vary substantially from one boat to another.
