High Temp Alarm Retrofit M-18, M-25, M-25XP,
M-35

Part #: Z2753
$262.70
Retrofit kit adds a high water temperature switch that can trigger an alarm on your engine panel. This is an important upgrade to provide you with a warning before your engine seizes due to overheating. The replacement housing provides an additional port for the thermal switch that is then connected to the alarm module at your instrument panel.
The thermostat housing, thermal switch and a new gasket for installation are included in this retrofit kit. Requires the appropriate engine instrument panel with an alarm module or you may mount an alarm module remote from the panel. See the module below under "May we also suggest".

1) There is a hole in the top of thermostat housing (hidden in the photo) that will accept the bleed valve petcock from your old housing.

2) Regardless if you are installing a water temperature sender or a water temperature switch, never use any type of common PTFE pipe sealing tape or pipe joint compound on the threads. The sender or switch are modulating the connection of the instrument to the ground by way of the engine block. If you insulate the threads, they can't make the connection to ground and the instrument will not function properly.

3)
CAUTION: This part has been machined and then painted. There is some overspray in the fastener holes that will need to be cleared out to accept fastener screw.
